The
International Shark Attack Research Fund (ISARF),
sponsored by International Wildlife Veterinary
Services, Inc.,
is a private non-profit
educational foundation and
research center.
ISARF is now
gathering critical data on all current and new
innovative techniques, systems, and methods to
prevent shark attacks on humans with an emphasis
on dolphin interaction.

Todd Endris
is spearheading the ISARF advisory committee after a
Great White Shark attacked him three times
while surfing in California, on August 28, 2007.
When Todd was struggling for life, a pod of Bottle Nosed Dolphins intervened
and formed a wall around the injured surfer giving him a split
second to escape the jaws of the 16 foot shark.
Click on "Todd's Story" for a video and more
information.
Todd was
immediately helped by three heroic surfers,
given first aid, then air lifted to a trauma
center where he was not expected to live. Todd
had lost half of his blood and after a grueling
five and a half hour surgery, during which he received 700
sutures, he miraculously recovered to tell his
story.
This amazing
tale of survival has given Todd a new passion
and commitment in his life. He never wants this
horrendous accident to happen to anyone,
anywhere, ever again.
The ISARF Project will use cutting edge
technology and focus resources to collaborate
with the worlds top experts and scientists who
study sharks and dolphins and their interactions
with humans. Your continued
financial and intellectual support will make a
huge difference with helping us keep the oceans
safer for swimmers, surfers, scuba divers and
kayakers.

Our heartfelt
thanks to our friend Dean Bernal
for helping us to understand wild dolphins. Dean is
world-famous for his twenty year relationship with a
wild dolphin named JoJo. Dean's current passion are
his two projects,
the
JoJo
Project
in the Turks & Caicos Islands which protects and
takes care of JoJo the Dolphin and his habitat and
his
Dolphin,
Whale and Marine Wildlife Foundation in
the USA which conducts research, provides education, and preserves
marine wildlife and habitats. |
